under the waste electrical and electronic equipment (weee) directive and implementing regulations, when customers buy new electrical and electronic equipment from pall they are entitled to:
- send old items put on the market in europe before august 13th 2005 equipment for recycling on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis (this varies depending on the country)
- send the new equipment back for recycling when this ultimately becomes waste.

under the various member states weee legislation, pall must provide annual information on the quantities and categories of electrical and electronic equipment put on the market, reused, recycled and recovered within each member state where pall is registered. the designated recycler in the individual member states will prepare the recycling data reports for pall.
